Do I start at the part where the frog has spent the past two nights waking up every half an hour either a) to visit or b) because he thinks he needs to be fed, drinks 10 ml, and goes back to sleep for another half hour?

Or, there's the part where we had to pack up to go out to my parents house to visit my grandmother (forty-five minutes away), and I'm low on sleep because Frog kept me up all night, so we try to stop for donuts and muffins and the line up goes out the door. Not so much.

So I get to the car, and the boy has put hand cream on that smells so strongly it makes both of our eyes water. And it's cold and rainy and we can't open the windows. Did I mention we have a forty-five minute drive ahead of us?

Which means it's perfect timing for Frog to scream half the way there.

Oh, but just when you thought that the Monkey was getting away without causing any trouble, she lasted half an hour of being at my parents before she started to scream. And kept screaming. All. Day. Not crying. Not 'Hi, I'm a baby and I'm fussing'. Screaming. Arching her back and howling. We are now suspecting she's intolerant of something in her formula and are switching her to something lactose free. Please let that work.

Did I mention that she screamed all day? Really all day? Like, we got home an hour ago, and last I checked (I had her all day, the boy has her now) she's still occasionally kicking up a fuss?

But if that wasn't enough trouble, we had fun family Discussions at my parents house when I uncovered two fun things:

a) My cousin has made no legal steps to ensure that her husband (not the bio-dad) has custody of her baby, because 'she and the bio-dad had a really good talk'. Uh. Right. A really good talk will stand up in court if he decides he wants to be involved, whether you want him to be or not.

b) My cousin is an anti-vaccination person. I... don't even know where to start with this one. I don't know the reasons why, just was told when I asked how her wee one reacted to her shots that 'oh, [cousin] hasn't gotten her vaccinations. She's doing something else. WELL ISN'T THAT AWESOME. My babies herd immunity is supposed to stand in for yours? I don't THINK so. This might actually be something that she and I Discuss, before I cause another family fuss because I'm not really all that sure that I want my kids spending a lot of time around her little one if she's not vaccinated. This could be exciting, sports fans.

Oh oh oh, and when Monkey wouldn't stop fussing/crying/howling, my parents both kept asking again and again and again what I could be eating that was bothering them. Guys. Seriously. I pump as much milk as I can, and it's enough for one, maybe two bottles, which they only get at night. It's afternoon. IT'S NOT ME THAT'S BUGGING THEM. And I highly doubt it's because I had a Pepsi.

Today? Is fired.

See, and this is exactly why I get so ticked off about stuff like my cousin--herd immunity exists to protect the kids like your little one who CAN'T get vaccinated. Not the people who WON'T.

If she's delaying or something like that because of the suggestion of her doctor since there was birth trauma when she had her little one? I'll shut the hell up. If this is some sort of Jenny McCarthy induced nonsense? Not so much. I need to stock up on some good, reputable articles on why we vaccinate you SILLY TWIT so I can give them to her. Assuming it will do any good.

As for your suggestion? Oh, oh, oh, I so wish my dad didn't take his coffee black. I'd do exactly that *g*.
