The good:
- I had an awesome weekend in
apetslife-land. We watched SPN and bird documentaries and put together an exercise bike (I tell you, we are party people, man!), and chattered our heads off pretty much non-stop. Oh, and I got to visit the worlds cutest pony who did not eat me or even freak me out at all (usually I have some pretty serious horse-fear, but he was a complete doll). There were awesome hot dogs and talk about Winchesters and RPGing, and it was completely worth the ten-plus hours on a bus each way. The move back to BC and everything around that has had me massively stressed lately, and being able to take a weekend and just RELAX and have fun and not be staring at everything I should be cleaning and/or putting in boxes was exactly what I needed.
- The evil couches of death are no longer in my apartment. Granted, one of them is still out on the deck, but the other one is gone, long gone, and the second will be gone by the end of the week.
- We've sold the bed and it's been picked up, the bookshelf, kitchen table, microwave, shelves, and one dresser, and we've got (probably) enough boxes to complete the rest of the packing.
- One of the local churches was willing to come by and pick up the 6 giant boxes of clothes we were donating (some of it practically new) so that we didn't have to try and take it there by bus. And they gave us a thank you card. That made me go 'aww'.
-
tjournal gave me a good luck clover for my user info which made me clap my hands like a five year old and make 'aw' noises and squeak. Thank you, t--you always know how to get me smiling *squishes tons*.
The bad:
- I have the plague. Or something. I feel like I got run over by one of those buses that I rode for all those hours, for serious... my throat is killing me and I'm blowing my nose every two seconds, and I feel like death even though I slept for ten hours last night, then another five hours this afternoon/evening, and I'm about to crash now, about 3 hours before I usually do. AWESOME. Just what I need in the final week of packing/cleaning/organizing before a cross-country move.
- We still have a bunch of stuff that we need to sell/get rid of before we move, and people keep saying they want things and then changing their damned minds, and the indecisiveness is making me want to PUNCH things. Seriously. We are willing to discuss the price of stuff if you make us an offer. We are willing to accept a post-dated cheque, or a few installments if you can't afford to buy what you said you were because you got a traffic ticket. We can make a deal. But I've got just over a week before a moving van is showing up, and I want this shit OUT of here NOW. I wasn't really wild about selling it in the first time, so this dragging out with the yes, no, maybe, well, can I talk you down to a lower price, whatever is just making me go batshit.
- There is still a LOT of packing to do. A lot. I think we're closer than we think, and we've gotten rid of a lot of stuff and junk, and we're getting nearer to that tipping point of it really not being that bad. But we're not there yet. And we're not nearly close enough for me to feel comfortable about how much stuff is left to do vs how much time we've got to do it in.
- I have the plague. Yeah, I'm gonna be really whiny about it 'cause I feel GROSS and I haven't been sick in a long time, and just no. This is Not an appropriate time! I have to get on a plane soon!
Okay, bed. And tomorrow, packing. And orange juice. A lot of orange juice.

I'm so glad you had a good time, sugar. And I hope things go smoothly for you from here on out...
