All about the Jay...

linden_jayOkay, so, hello and welcome to everyone new, and everyone who might be wandering by. This is the first time I've ever actually done a friending meme, so I reckon that's at least a step on the whole getting-over-being-so-damned-shy thing. Honestly--once you've crossed over the line into writing porn, you'd think that you could actually get over the shy thing, but it doesn't quite seem to work like that for me. Still--trying.
What you'll find here is likely to be pretty random. I talk about me, RL, stuff that interests me, stuff that narks me off, fandom related nonsense. I try and avoid anything that's overly in-jokey, unless I absolutely can't help myself, and I'm not a big fan of the cryptic. I write a ton, but very little of it's here in my livejournal. Most of what I write is in a variety of celebrity role playing games over on journalfen, most of them heavily slashy, although I do write het and femslash as well. Some of it's AU, some of it's just basic actor slash, and a lot of it is kinky. And all of it is stuff that I write with a variety of amazing cowriters. I seem to be missing the solofic gene, although there are wicked people who are trying to convince me that it's there somewhere.
Fandom wise, I'm very poly-fandom, although right now, Supernatural is definitely taking up a lot of headspace, especially the RPS and stuff with the extended CW folk. By which I mostly mean Chris Kane, because... well, if I need to explain this one, I'm gonna need music uploads and a picspam and all. Which if prompted, I will totally do, trust me.
I have a bad habit of falling in love with things that get their ass canceled, which makes sense since I'm big into all things Joss and Sorkin. I watch Bones and Rome, even though I have to duck through much of both of them because I'm a colossal wimp, but it's worth it for both of them because Bones brings the pretty and makes me laugh, and Rome is fascinating (and James Purefoy is a hotass). And even with the new shiny all over, I'll always love LOTR.
So, that's me, unless you already knew me, in which case, well... maybe the reminder of why you keep me around will be helpful! I'll try and get up some more links to my other writing soon, and I'm working on one of those 100 things you never really wanted to know about me, but too bad! lists too. So--welcome! Make yourselves comfortable, and all... I may be shy, but I'm friendly.

This is my first friending meme, too, btw, and the jury's still out on whether I'll overcome my ingrained lurking tendencies enough to make an introductory post of my own... or whether people'd let me get away with just posting some fic and being done with it!
