Update on little Miss Ella

(It's not her real name, but I don't have an animal name picked out for her, so Ella will do just fine)
She came through surgery like a champ. The doctor is really pleased with her eyes, and thinks that she may be just fine now, and not need any subsequent surgeries (although we never count on those kind of chickens now, do we?), which is awesome.
Now all they have to do is manage to get a fifteen month old baby to keep her fingers out of her sore, itchy eyes until they're all healed up. Well, easier said than done, I suppose, but they're doing the best they can. If you could keep wishing/hoping/praying that she can keep from getting any infections post-surgery, that would be wonderful.
I want to thank you all so, so much for your thoughts, prayers, and good wishes. It means so much to me, and to my cousin, knowing that there are people out there pulling for her little one.

Arriving at the hospital. Apparently she just thought this was the Best Game Ever.

Itty bitty hospital gown, and her stuffed dog to keep her company. I don't know if they sterilize the stuffie before going into the clean room or not... I might have to ask, because now I'm curious.

Cuddles with her mama post-surgery, still dopey from the anesthetic, but doing wonderful.
