Okay, so, did anyone guess that having twins at home might be a little time consuming? Because yes. Time consuming. Also tiring, awesome, tiring, funny, tiring, frustrating, tiring, amazing, and tiring.

They're doing amazingly well. We've gone from spending half an hour every three hours desperately hoping to get a third of their bottle feed into them so that they don't have to take it all by tube, to them wanting to feed every 90 minutes to two hours or so. Exhausting for us, but they're growing like tiny little weeds. They've also now got enough energy that they can fuss a lot more, and scream when they're hungry or pissed off, instead of just eating and passing out midway through. Eating and passing out midway through was a lot quieter, and the novelty of 'yay, they're strong enough to yell!' has definitely worn off, but I'm just so, so glad they're healthy and active and just like real babies, only wee-sized.

Right now, they're in the bassinet beside my computer, trying to decide if they're hungry or sleepy or both. They're facing each other, trying to reach out and touch each other, since they're not swaddled, which most of the time leads to punching each other in the head. It's amusing--it's like they let the other one get away with it a limited but specific number of times before they holler to let me know that 'MUM! MY BROTHER/SISTER IS PUNCHING ME IN THE HEAD!!!' I forsee good times ahead, oh yeah.

I think (I hope) that I answered all my comments and emails, but if I missed any of them, please give me a pass, I'm operating on very little sleep. Thank you all so much, for your good thoughts and good wishes, particularly when I was first stranded at the hospital, then evicted from the hospital, then back stranded at the hospital all over again. It meant a lot, and I'm more grateful than I know how to say, so I'll just say thank you so, so much.

Dude. They just yawned in tandem. I need to keep my camera next to the computer at ALL TIMES, apparently.

And speaking of cameras--I have pictures!

Last tummy shot for me! This is about six or seven hours before I was induced, so this is me at thirty-six weeks exactly.

There are two of them. I know, right?

Still day one.

Day two. Thing One has his feeding tube, and Thing Two has a hat that would fit a toddler.

They are sassy, sassy things. I can't blame the boy at all for that part of them!

They're doing so well getting all fat and happy, bless! I'm so pleased.

(And congrats on how all the book stuff is going--seriously, how cool is that, you author person, you!)
