Elephant is a gus van sant (van saint? I should know that but I just woke up he also made my own private idaho and last days) it's based around a school shooting, and critisim's of it are it is slow and meandering and exploitative and difficult so of course i liked it.
I love Apollo 13 which is the best movie ron howard has ever made (Ron Howard as a general rule makes my skin crawl with his treacle). Also Lee and I both have total actor crushes on Gary Sinese - have you seen his version of Of Mice and Men?
