I think this is why I have problems with anything taken to extremes, you know? Both the 'drug me to the gills so I won't feel anything!' method of childbirth and the 'you mustn't take anything even if you're in so much pain you can't breathe' method. Same thing for afterward... I don't know. I find it very frustrating.
Of course, I already get a big F since I let my mom take the aliens for the night the day I had my teeth out. Since I was still completely doped and in pain and in no way able to care for them, and it let the boy look after me. But still. I let them go away for a night! A whole night! They will be traumatised forever!
