Everyone? I've been home sick since last Thursday, and I'm not allowed to go back to work until this Friday at the earliest...

I'm bored. *watches as those who know me duck and cover*

I've read my flist, my journalfen establishment flist, [livejournal.com profile] tarnished_raven's flist, [livejournal.com profile] angiepen's flist, [livejournal.com profile] darknight999's flist, [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes and fandom_wank- which I virtually never read.

I've gone to my cradle-o-crack and re read everything [livejournal.com profile] tarnished_raven has on her web site (not to mention combining through her journal(s) to find everything she hasn't posted to the site yet- hitting my personal favorites of Palace (naturally) and 'The Knife's Edge', which has my favorite quote of all time: (and you're damned skippy I'm gonna put it here- what part of 'I'm BORED' are ya not getting!)

Karl had Wenham bent over the pool table and was giving him a good reaming, the sweat on Wenham’s naked back testimony to Karl’s enthusiasm.
Sean went to walk on, but had a thought and halted again.
“Wenham!” The man looked up through glazed eyes. “You cum on that pool table, sunshine and I’ll be having it recovered in human hide. You hear?”
Wenham nodded and shuffled back a couple of steps.
Satisfied, Sean moved off.

I've re-read [livejournal.com profile] chaosmanor's Perchance, Thursday's Child and what's been written of Separation of Desire so far, [livejournal.com profile] legomyarrow's Archer series- for the third time this month, mind- all of [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda's [livejournal.com profile] m15m parodies- even the ones for movies that I haven't seen yet. I've re-read everything [livejournal.com profile] azewewish and [livejournal.com profile] lotrjunkie have on their websites Broadwriting and Faded Ink - especially The Claimed Series.

I've gone back to where fandom started for me with [livejournal.com profile] scribbulus_ink and her Harry Potter fic, re-reading her 'Wicked Game' Trilogy, (aka- first slash story I ever read) and 'The Way of the World' (despite my utter loathing for the play of the same title- both stories Snape/Lupin). I've gone back to the next FPS world I delved into which was LOTR FPS, all elves, all the time and re-read everything written by Morgana, especially her By Any Means Necessary story, which killed off my twincest/brothercest squick in one damn hell of a hurry.

I read [livejournal.com profile] stewardess_lotr's The Shining One arc- which shall be forever known as 'that which got she who does not read FPS to read FPS' (winks at Janine), paused to sniffle and hold up my lighter for the acclaimed and no longer available Hoot/Todd 'Black Hawk Down' verse masterworks, then cheered myself up by reading Fraternity- which has set the bar so high for all crossover fic that it needs to be at least half as good as this series or I won't go near it. And of course you can't go near [livejournal.com profile] stewardess_lotr without reading theHector/Paris Troy/Iliad fic that she and [livejournal.com profile] perseph2hades have both written, which along with the Hoot/Todd *sniffle* stuff, has permanently and errevocably cast me as a worshipper of Eric Bana.

I re-read [livejournal.com profile] abundantlyqueer's stuff, which ranges from finished series to one off's to crackfic's, to AU's to WIP's and I blame her (among others) for ridding me of my aversion to AU's and WIP's (re-reads 'Off the Ropes' compulsively)- and if you've never read A Perfect Understanding skitter over there right the hell now and do it- it's short, but it's pee-your-pants-don't-read-at-3am-or-you'll-wake-people funny.

And now I'm starting to go through the character journal's from the [livejournal.com profile] rpg_palace RPG and I'm reading them. All of them. From the beginning of the game. I've already done [livejournal.com profile] palaceeric, [livejournal.com profile] palace_sean, [livejournal.com profile] palace_marton, [livejournal.com profile] palacejude,[livejournal.com profile] palace_guy, [livejournal.com profile] palace_will,[livejournal.com profile] palace_orlando,[livejournal.com profile] palacechristian, [livejournal.com profile] palace_jake, and I'm seriously thinking about going through from the beginning and organizing all of [livejournal.com profile] palaceharry's journal entries- and Angie- this isn't a good thing- no one should ever be this bored!

So... I've just rec'd enough stuff to keep everyone on my flist busy until next year. Your turn.

For the love of all that's holy- somebody rec me something! Short, long, angst, h/c, humour, AU, whatever- I'm virtually squickless apart from my aversion to het and bad writing, (and the het aversion is more of a preference then a squick). I'm housebound for another 4 days, and since I cough my guts out everytime I try to do anything more then walk from the bedroom to the couch to the computer room, I'm limited to books, computer and TV- which is my cue to say I'll also take book and video rec's as well.

*puts sanity and sanity of the poor Academic Husband who is putting up with me in my boredom in your hands*

That is all.
