So... I kind of accidentally got a job.

Yeah, I know--how does one 'accidentally' get a job? Well... I didn't apply for the one I've been temping at because I was quite sure that someone else would apply, and then no one did, and the principal came to talk to me and wanted to sweet talk me into taking it. It's less hours than I wanted, but the salary is great, and I'm still available to get called out for afternoons if they need extra people elsewhere, so... yeah. I have a job *blink*.

Now I seriously, SERIOUSLY need some clothes, since they've already seen everything I own about seventeen times. Guess that's this weekend's goal. Not today though. I'm in too good a mood to go clothes shopping.

So, yes. JOB! Yay!

Oh, and in other news, I need some kind of a portable media player. iPod, MP3, whatever. I know nothing about them at all, so... this is the part where you rec me whatever it is you have, or make suggestions or whatever. Thank you!

It's not perfect, but it gives me some flexibility and it really does pay well. Plus, less hours isn't really a bad thing.

I think so! Or I'm hoping so anyway. They're really nice, and the temp gig was working out reasonably well, so... I'm gonna be hopeful about the whole thing.

I have an iPod, and I adore it. That said, there are cheaper things out there; a lot of it just depends on how much storage you think you'll need.

I may be selling mine at some point soon, to get a larger one (mine is 60Gig, but too small, and hello, now they come in 160!), so depending when you'll want it, you could possibly get one cheap. :) (Mine does pictures, but not video, if that's a concern.)

I'm not sure how much storage space I need. I don't mind switching off and about and stuff, so... not that big a deal if that's what happens, if I go for something cheaper. We'll see what AH comes home with after his research trip.

But let me know if you're selling your iPod anyway, if you get a new one. AH doesn't have anything like this either, and I have a feeling once I have one, he'll want one. MWAH!

Thank you thank you! I was already temping there, and it's not perfect, but it'll do as a start. And it's a union gig, so I have to start at the bottom anyway, and complaining about it being too easy a job, that's just asking for it, really.

I'm looking into the Creative Zen... I don't know that I need something as fancy as an iPod, but I'm gonna price check and wander about and see what I like. But good to know!

I have an iPod Nano, which I love to bits. It has its moments where it hates me, but it does it's job fairly well. The benefit of it is, it's teeny and practically indestructible (I've dropped it so many times...). Mine's only 2GB, which is about 500 songs? I dunno, anyway, I've not even filled it half way, and it's already got over 200 songs. It's a touch lil cookie. :D
